Sailfish is a precious metals royalty and streaming company. Within Sailfish’s portfolio are two main assets in the Americas: a gold stream equivalent to a 3% NSR on the San Albino gold mine (~3.5 sq. km) and a 2% NSR on the rest of the area (~134.5 sq. km) surrounding San Albino in northern Nicaragua; and an up to 3% NSR on the Spring Valley gold project in Pershing County, Nevada.

Akiba Leisman co-founded and serves as the Executive Chairman and a Director of Sailfish Royalty Corp. Previously, Akiba was Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of Marlin Gold Mining Ltd., leading the company through the spinout of Sailfish and the acquisition of Marlin by Golden Reign Resources Ltd. to form Mako Mining Corp. He also serves as the CEO and a Director of Mako, a Director at Bonterra Resources Inc. and as a consultant at Wexford Capital LP. Prior to Wexford, he was a Senior Analyst at Red Kite Capital Management for the Mine Finance funds where he was responsible for senior secured investments on metal mining assets. Previously, he was an Associate at Standard Bank working in the Structured Commodity Products and Mine Finance groups.
Akiba has an MBA from New York University, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Lostritto has an extensive background in mining capital markets and working with companies across the globe since 1997. Paolo has helped assess different companies/projects and helped finance them as they advanced through exploration, development, and production. Some of the companies where Paolo was involved early include: Kirkland Lake Gold, Novagold and Lake Shore Gold in 2004; Romarco Minerals in 2006; Victoria Gold and Volta Resources in 2009.
Mr. Lostritto is currently serving as the Chairman of Signature Resources Ltd., which is focused on high grade gold exploration in Ontario. Paolo is a co-founder and board member of Interstellar Mining Inc which is focused on leveraging a leading Canadian space mining robotics group (Deltion Innovations Ltd.) along with Watts, Griffis, and McOuat Ltd.’s space mining group to develop and produce energy commercially for the rapidly growing space industry. Over his career, Mr. Lostritto was a Director of the Mining Equity Research at National Bank Financial and worked in equity research at Wellington West, Scotia Capital and TD Securities. He served as an Independent Director at Savary Gold Corp. which was sold to SEMAFO in 2019.
Mr. Lostritto holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological and Mineral Engineering in Rock Mechanics from the University of Toronto and he is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
Bryan McKenzie is a mining industry professional with more than 15 years of experience. He brings a varied knowledge of finance, tax, accounting, auditing and public markets and has been directly involved in corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions and financings in excess of $500 million. Bryan holds a Bachelor of Technology in Accounting from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Accountant.

Walter Reich is a chartered accountant and has worked for over 20 years in the offshore industry. He has resided British Virgin Islands since January 2006 after having worked in London for 6 years in a variety of capacities for the Lionhart hedge fund group with USD 900 million under management including CFO, Compliance Officer, Marketing Coordinator and Member of the Management Committee. Walter graduated Cum Laude from Laurentian University, Canada, with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Experience gained at Lionhart, Citco Fund Services and KPMG, allows Walter to offer his services as an experienced, independent and offshore domiciled director/consultant to a select number of offshore based companies and management companies. Walter currently serves on the executive committee of the BVI Investment Funds Association and as an appointed member of BVI Finance Team Funds and the BVI Financial Services Commission established Securities, Investment Business and Mutual Funds Advisory Committee.
Since moving to the British Virgin Islands in 2001 Alessandro Palladino has worked for over 14 years in the offshore fund and pension industry. Prior to moving to the British Virgin Islands, he graduated from University of Padua with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering.
Alessandro developed algorithms for portfolio management trading and risk management systems at Western Capital Management Ltd. (“Western”) which at its peak had over $1 billion of AUM across four offshore funds. In 2012, Alessandro Palladino moved to Pension Management Interactive, Inc., (“PMI”) a company established to provide consultancy, management and administration services for pension funds of companies operating out of the British Virgin Islands. In 2015 he joined Tovel Consulting to provide directorship and other consultancy related services.
Asheef Lalani as an independent director to the board of Sailfish Royalty Corp. Mr. Lalani graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics and Masters of Accounting, earned the CA/CPA designation in 2002 and is a CFA charterholder since 2003. Asheef first started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998 and went on to become a portfolio manager at UBS Securities. Currently, Mr. Lalani is the Chief Investment Officer at Berczy Park Capital – a private family office in Toronto, Canada.
